Sri Purandara Daasa was a great devotee of Lord Krishna and the first of the Haridas of the 16th century. Sri Purandara Daasa was a poet, composer and Was a devotional singer. It is known that musicologists considered him as the “ Father of Carnatic music ” (South Indian classical music) and he composed almost 475,000 Keerthanas in 40 years.
